They will share their secrets for growing food grade small grains. The field day includes a tour of The Mill at Janie's Farm showcasing what bakers are looking for to create delicious local breads and confections. The tour will wrap-up with a tasting of artisan breads made with flour directly from the mill.

What is a CSA? It allows customers committed to the local economy an opportunity to connect on a deeper level than purchasing from a retail store, and even in a different way than making purchases at a farmers market. With the CSA method of doing business, farms offer fresh food products through annual subscriptions, or a flat fee, that a customer pays for upfront once a year in exchange for a portion of those farmers’ products.
